Passocroce is located on the eastern slope of the historic site of Doss Caslìr, a prime location for the cultivation of Lagrein in the Cembra estates. On the mountain terraces, the ruby body, typically intense and structured of Lagrein, becomes refined in a fresh and elegant drinkability, creating a surprising and absolutely unique combination. The aromas of forest fruits (currant, blackberry, and blueberry) are accompanied by hints of star anise, cocoa, and tobacco. The aging time in the bottle promotes the development of aromas reminiscent of violet and, more subtly, lilac and sage.

VINIFICATION

Fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, aging on the lees for about 18 months in 225-liter French oak barrels.

VINTAGES

2017: an early vintage in which spring frosts and strong hailstorms tested even the most experienced winemakers. Fresh, fruity red wines with great refinement and elegance.
